Nic McPhillips, President

Nic McPhillips is a Finance and Economics student at Susquehanna University with a passion for leadership, professional development, and empowering the next generation of business leaders. He currently serves as the State President of PA FBLA Collegiate, where he works to expand opportunities, strengthen member engagement, and support students across Pennsylvania.

Since joining FBLA in 2024, Nic has embraced the organization’s mission of preparing students for success through leadership, service, and career development. Through his involvement at both the local and state levels, he has seen firsthand the impact FBLA can have in building confidence, creating connections, and inspiring students to pursue their goals.

Outside of FBLA, Nic is pursuing a career in investment banking and has gained experience across investment banking, private equity, venture capital, equity research, and valuation. He is passionate about sharing his experiences with others and mentoring students as they explore opportunities in business and finance.

As State President, Nic is committed to building a stronger FBLA community, creating meaningful experiences for members, and ensuring that every student has the resources and support needed to reach their full potential.

Anna Elliott, Secretary

Anna Elliott is entering her junior year at Bloomsburg University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and minors in Human Resource Management and Real Estate Finance.  She is passionate about leadership, professional development, and helping students discover opportunities that foster both personal and professional growth. Throughout her collegiate journey, Anna has actively pursued leadership roles, campus involvement, and meaningful experiences that have strengthened her communication, organization, and teamwork skills while allowing her to make a positive impact on those around her.

Anna’s involvement with FBLA Collegiate has been one of the most rewarding parts of her college experience. Through her participation at the local, state, and national levels, she has connected with students, advisors, and business professionals from across Pennsylvania and beyond. Within the Bloomsburg University FBLA Collegiate chapter, Anna served on the Involvement Committee, where she helped coordinate fundraising efforts, member engagement initiatives, and events that supported chapter growth and success. She also served on the Executive Board as Parliamentarian, a role that enhanced her leadership, communication, and organizational abilities while helping ensure chapter meetings and operations ran smoothly. These experiences not only strengthened her professional skills but also allowed her to build lasting relationships and develop a deeper appreciation for the impact student leadership organizations can have on individual growth and success.

One of Anna’s most impactful contributions to the Bloomsburg University FBLA Collegiate chapter was taking the lead on a chapter-wide T-shirt fundraiser designed to raise funds for upcoming conferences, competitions, and professional development opportunities. She coordinated the planning and promotion of the fundraiser, managed orders and payments, communicated with members, and worked to ensure the fundraiser ran smoothly from start to finish. Through her organization, attention to detail, and dedication to the chapter’s success, the fundraiser helped generate financial support for members while increasing chapter engagement. This experience further strengthened Anna’s leadership, project management, and communication skills while demonstrating her commitment to creating opportunities that benefit her fellow members and support the growth of the organization.

In addition to her involvement with FBLA Collegiate, Anna serves as a peer mentor for the Ziegler College of Business Learning Community at Bloomsburg University. In this role, she works closely with incoming students as they transition to college life, offering guidance, encouragement, and support as they navigate new academic and personal experiences. Anna finds great fulfillment in helping others build confidence, become involved on campus, and feel connected to their university community. She values creating an environment where students feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to reach their goals.

Outside of academics and leadership, Anna enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending hockey and baseball games, traveling, and exploring new places. She appreciates opportunities to meet new people, build meaningful connections, and create lasting memories through shared experiences. Whether she is participating in campus activities, engaging with her community, or experiencing something new, Anna believes that every opportunity offers a chance to learn, grow, and broaden her perspective.

As Pennsylvania FBLA Collegiate State Secretary, Anna is committed to supporting members and chapters across the Commonwealth, strengthening communication throughout the organization, and creating opportunities that encourage engagement, leadership development, and professional growth. Alice Frankovich, Treasurer

Alice Frankovich is a student at Penn State Harrisburg pursuing a degree in Finance, with interests in investment banking, sales, consulting, and corporate law. She currently serves as the Pennsylvania FBLA Collegiate State Treasurer and is passionate about helping students grow professionally, expand their networks, and build confidence as future business leaders.

At Penn State Harrisburg, Alice serves as Chapter President of FBLA Collegiate, where she works to expand member engagement, strengthen campus involvement, and organize professional development opportunities for students interested in business careers. Through her leadership, the chapter has increased student participation, strengthened its campus presence, and connected members with networking and career-building experiences. She also serves as Vice President of the Pro Sales Club, helping coordinate professional events, corporate partnerships, networking opportunities, and sales competitions that prepare students for careers in business and client relations. In addition, Alice is a Senior Analyst in the Penn State Harrisburg Finance Club, where she contributes to the organization’s Investment Committee and Donor Program Committee. In these roles, she assists with investment research, market analysis, and strategic discussions related to the club’s student-managed portfolio.

Outside of campus leadership, Alice has gained professional experience through her internship with Vynues during Summer 2026 as an Executive Office Intern (Finance Focus), where she conducted leadership, market, product, and financial due diligence for strategic growth and Seed/Series A investment readiness for an AI-powered event-planning platform and venue discovery startup that automates and organizes significant life event planning. She additionally interned at Mind Body Baby during Summer 2026 as a Wine Dinner Strategy & Event Development Project Intern, where she developed a comprehensive Wine Dinner Event Strategy that evaluates venue options, event logistics, sponsorship opportunities, guest experience recommendations, and fundraising potential to support organizational decision-making. Furthermore, she interned at Amerigo Voyage, where she has worked for over two years, assisting with business operations, customer relations, scheduling, travel coordination, and organizational management. Through her experiences, she has developed strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and client service skills while learning how to operate within a fast-paced business environment.

As Pennsylvania FBLA Collegiate State Treasurer, Alice's vision is centered around increasing financial transparency, strengthening communication between state leadership and members, and helping students feel more connected to the financial side of the organization. She hopes to make financial reports and statements more accessible and understandable for members while promoting accountability and trust throughout the state organization. Alice is also passionate about connecting students with opportunities within the finance industry, including networking, mentorship, and professional development experiences.

Beyond business and leadership, Alice has a strong background in theater and performance, which has shaped her confidence, creativity, and ability to connect with others. She enjoys fitness, chess, cooking, Formula 1 (Forza Ferrari!), fashion, traveling, and mentoring students interested in leadership and professional growth.

Matthew Harkins, Vice President of Communications

Matthew Harkins is honored to serve on the 2026–2027 PA FBLA Collegiate State Officer Team. Building upon a formal foundation in Graphic Design from the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center, he is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration Management and Marketing at the South Hills School of Business & Technology. Matthew is a dedicated and dynamic leader within multiple tiers of FBLA, serving simultaneously as the FBLA Collegiate Chapter President for South Hills and the Vice President of Communications for Pennsylvania FBLA Collegiate.

Matthew serves as a business administration intern at Penn State University's College of Liberal Arts, where he applies marketing and design expertise to support the Department of English and the School of Global Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (SGLLC). His contributions include directing strategic newsletter redesigns, developing brand-identity systems for signature event series, and leveraging data analytics and A/B testing to optimize audience engagement.

Matthew actively channels this professional-grade strategic messaging into his FBLA initiatives. As a chapter president and state officer, he has focused his leadership on team-building, increasing FBLA awareness, and forging strong, collaborative connections across chapters. A passionate advocate for membership engagement, he uses his advanced creative design and digital management skills to elevate the organization’s digital footprint. In his role as Vice President of Communications, Matthew manages Pennsylvania's social media platforms and website content, ensuring that members stay consistently informed, connected, and inspired.

Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Matthew is deeply engaged in community service and campus life. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he embraces his time away from the desk through dirt bike racing, fishing, and volunteering. His strong work ethic and outgoing personality are rooted in his profound commitment to servant leadership, cultivated in the Boy Scouts of America. Through the BSA, he achieved the prestigious Eagle Scout Award after successfully pitching local businesses to raise $6,000, allowing him to project-manage the refurbishment of a multi-use volunteer facility at Canoe Creek State Park.

Ultimately, Matthew aims to use his refined communication skills and strategic business acumen to help collegiate members nationwide expand their professional networks, showcase their achievements, and maximize their leadership potential.
